Hellas Sat signs Memorandum of Understanding with National Observatory of Athens

  • Perspective for future tighter cooperation to solidify Space Situational Awareness National autonomy

  • Open doors to Nationally independent satellite tracking and survey operations

     

Athens, 17 April 2022Hellas Sat and the National Observatory of Athens have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation to exchange knowledge and information in the area of Space Situational Awareness.

 

Both parties will collaborate in the scheme of mutual exchange and evaluation of data that will be gathered using Hellas Sat’s satellite fleet and NOA’s cooperating network of telescopes in Greece.

 

The outcome of this collaboration will result in the evaluation of the data produced by the participating Greek Observatories and will bring to the next step our national capability in the localization of spacecrafts and in the demand or increasing environment of Space Situational Awareness.
